Patented Technology
Patented Technology for Special Protective Gloves
INTEGRITY GLOVE holds patented technology for special protective gloves — a multi-layer composite construction, and the manufacturing process behind it, developed for factory, mining and timber work, where hand injuries account for roughly one in five disabling workplace accidents. Rather than padding a standard glove, the patented design builds protection into the glove's structure: a knitted base, two coating skins, and dedicated function layers sealed between them — placed so the hand still bends, grips and flexes freely, while the sealed construction sheds water and chemical splash.
Six function layers in the palm
Abrasion-resistant
Tear-resistant
Impact-resistant
Puncture-resistant
Shock-absorbing
Cut-resistant
Each palm function layer answers a named hazard, and the layers combine: a mining glove might stack impact + abrasion + damping against rock drills and picks; a fabrication glove cut + puncture + tear. Because the stack is sealed between the two coatings instead of sitting on the surface, the protection does not peel away — and the damping layer keeps absorbing vibration from drills, breakers and chainsaws rather than passing it into the hand and arm.
The honeycomb impact cell
The signature impact layer is a hexagonal honeycomb support structure — cell edge 0.3–1 cm, cell height 0.2–0.7 cm — filled with EPDM (ethylene propylene) rubber that stands 0.1–0.5 cm proud of the cell walls, its face convex or flat. Under a blow the cells flex, spread the load sideways and spring back; between blows the glove stays supple enough to close around a tool handle. Triangular, square, pentagonal and round cells — or a flat implanted sheet — are also covered where a programme calls for them.
Base fibresPolyester, nylon, aramid, acrylic, HPPE, cotton and glass fibre — plus carbon, graphite, PTFE, polyimide and phenolic special fibres
Coating compoundsNatural & synthetic rubber (nitrile, butyl, SBR, silicone, latex, EPDM), thermoplastics (TPU, TPE, TPO) and plastics (PVC, LDPE, PET, PA, CPP)
Surface finishesMatte, glossy or foamed coating faces, chosen per layer and per task
Cuff optionsElastic cuff, hook-and-loop strap or extended sleeve, sewn on after trimming
01
Knit the base
Base layer knitted on glove machines — directly, or sewn from knitted fabric — in the specified fibre or blend.
02
First coating
First coating sewn, bonded or dip-moulded onto the base, forming the base-and-coating composite.
03
Fit function layers
Palm and back function layers sewn, bonded, implanted or heat-fused onto the composite — whole-piece, or split over the bone zones.
04
Second coating
Second coating bonded or dip-moulded over the function layers and every exposed area of the first coating.
05
Trim & inspect
Cut to the design length, cuff sewn on, and every pair inspected before it counts as finished.
Programmes built on this patented construction are quoted per specification — send your hazard profile with the enquiry and we will propose the layer stack for it.
